What is APS?

How it works

The APS machines in the range use Action-Potential-Simulation (APS) technology to deliver highly effective and long term relief from the effects of chronic pain, sports injuries and medical conditions.

Looking similar to the familiar TENS machine, APS goes much further, using a unique electrical waveform that stimulates the production of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). The resulting effect causes the body to release neuro-hormones, kick starting the body’s natural healing process.
Unlike other machines on the market, the APS uses a ‘monophasic waveform’ which closely matches the body’s nerve impulses. The APS Machines are protected internationally with patents standing in 38 different countries.

Going further than other machines on the market, the APS Machines increases blood flow through affected areas, naturally aiding the movement of electrolytes through newly created tissues. This helps the body heal naturally, rather than just providing temporary pain relief. APS employs an holistic approach to healing, treating the whole of the body, not just the pain areas  -  this is why it is so effective.

The machine was famously used and recommended by the late Professor Christiaan Barnard, known for being the first person to carry out a heart transplant in 1967. Since then it has won ‘Best New Medical Invention’ at the International Invention Awards in Geneva 1998 and became popular with sports people such as Boris Becker and André Aggasi.

Although the system is easy to use, the science is more complex. Should you be interested to receive a more detailed account of the science involved  we would be happy to provide you with our plain English explanation.
